Hi Rose; Don't exactly know what you mean by "blowing off", but I had a BSA with an Amal Monobloc carburettor that lost the float bowl cover from vibration. I secured it with allen screws and it never came off again. If the problem is vibration or losing screws and parts from vibration, you might try "locktite" from the hardware store, or exchange the slotted screws for allen screws. Hope this helps. Frank Moss
